About us
Yale Energy, Inc. is a next-generation clean energy company founded by CEO Yale Wong.
Built on the lessons of Mr. Wong's past ventures, Yale Energy utilizes advanced technology, deeper operational experience, and a scalable model to deliver efficient, sustainable fuel solutions.
With a focus on innovation, circular economies, and energy independence, the company reflects Mr. Wong’s evolved vision for renewable energy.

Yale Wong is a serial entrepreneur with 25+ years of experience across energy, tech, and infrastructure.
He previously founded General Biodiesel Inc., which he grew into Washington State’s leading biodiesel producer, and Compass Communications Inc., previously one of Washington's largest independent broadband providers.
About the founder
Yale Energy, Inc. collects local waste oils and other organic waste, keeping it out of landfills and drains.
We are currently developing our facilities to transform UCO, animal fats, and other organic waste into ASTM-compliant biodiesel, targeting biodiesel production by Q4 2026.
Our biodiesel will be drop-in, plug-and-play, requiring no engine modifications, no new infrastructure, and delivering instant carbon reduction—designed to meet the needs of municipalities, transit fleets, and industrial users.
What we do

To transform local waste streams into renewable energy solutions that promote environmental sustainability, create economic opportunity, and drive technological innovation across Washington State and beyond.
Our Mission
Our Vision
A sustainable future where clean, renewable energy powers resilient communities. Through innovation, environmental stewardship, and a commitment to social equity, we seek to build lasting economic and environmental benefits for generations to come.

We collect feedstock (waste vegetable oil, animal fats, etc.) from local restaurants and providers, keeping it out of drains and landfills.

Waste is filtered, then converted through transesterification using methanol and a catalyst. Glycerin is separated, and the biodiesel is purified, washed, and dried to meet fuel standards.

In the past, we indirectly supplied B100 biodiesel to Washington State Ferries, trucking fleets, and semi-haulers operating on B10 to B20 blends.
These deliveries were made under prior operations and through different entities managed by our team.
Our Process:
Waste-to-Fuel
Biodiesel and other renewable products are supplied to local operators to be used in local engines. YEI plans to begin locally converting waste to biofuels and co-products by Q4 2026.
